The Third World Press mission is to make this literature accessible to as many individuals as possible including our targeted market of primarily African American readers. \nThe Poetry Foundation\, publisher of Poetry magazine\, is an independent literary\norganization committed to a vigorous presence for poetry in our culture. It exists to discover and celebrate the best poetry and to place it before the largest possible audience. \nThe mission of the American Writers Museum Foundation is to establish the first national museum in the United States dedicated to engaging the public in celebrating American writers and exploring their influence on our history\, our identity\, our culture and our daily lives. \nBrooks Permissions\, founded in 2002\, manages the literary works of acclaimed poet Gwendolyn Brooks. Brooks Permissions processes numerous requests for Ms. Brooks’ works annually\, working with mainstream\, educational\, and independent publishers\, as well as individual artists for projects ranging from literary anthologies and academic course packs to theatrical performances\, multimedia projects\, etc. \nThe Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts advances arts practice\, inquiry\, and presentation at the University of Chicago\, and fosters meaningful collaboration and cultural engagement at the university\, on the south side\, and in the city of Chicago. \n

SUMMARY:FLECHO Book Fair
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce\, the Guild Complex will participate in FLECHO in Quibdo\, Colombia! \n\n\n\nFrom March 20-24\, members of the Guild Complex along with 4 talented and creative Afro-Latin writers will travel and participate in this four-city traveling book fair which will culminate in Quibdo\, Columbia. Participating writers include Kianny Antigua (New Hampshire)\, Alan Pelaz Lopez (California)\, Tiffanie Clark (Ohio)\, and Luis Tubens (Chicago) along with Mary Hawley\, the long time coordinator for Palabra Pura. Along with these talented writers\, a documentary filmmaker will follow along to capture this experience. \n\n\n\nFLECHO is a program of MOTETE.
