Guild Literary Complex

In 2014, Guild Complex celebrates its 25th anniversary, a remarkable milestone for any literary organization. But the Guild is not just any literary organization. The Guild is a tonic.

To commemorate the Guild’s history – and propel us onward – please consider making a special donation during our year-end fundraising appeal. It’s easy. Simply click this link:

A tonic stimulates. It imparts vitality. And the Guild does exactly that for Chicago’s lit scene.

Our events cross and connect lines between identities, cultures, generations, educational experiences, and artistic visions. We keep things interesting, and we keep things real. Presenting diverse voices and ideas is central to our programs and directly related to our conviction that vibrant literature contributes to society.

We hope you agree that sounds refreshing. And necessary. Even after 25 years.

We continually stretch our own capacity – and vision – looking for ways to do more. In 2014 that includes hosting exiled Middle Eastern poets to discuss issues of freedom of speech, and collaborating with Columbia College Chicago for increased Latino author programs during Story Week, to name only two.

Will you take a moment and contribute $25 or more in advance of our 25th season? You can mail your gift, or contribute immediately via PayPal.
