The intern will help coordinate a project as part of the Guild’s unique programming and will join a small team in the effort to communicate, promote, and document the Guild’s work. This internship is ideal for a mature, self-motivated student who can solve problems and meet goals independently. Experience related to coordinating and planning events will help the student succeed. Students from arts administration or nonprofit management programs would be excellent candidates, as would students in the humanities seeking experience in an arts nonprofit. A particular interest in and familiarity with poetry, live performance, social justice, working with diverse communities, and/or the history and culture of Chicago would be beneficial.
