The Guild Literary Complex is a 30-year-old grassroots literary arts organization creating performance-based events in and around the Chicagoland area.

We partner and collaborate with other community groups on social and restorative justice issues, providing arts and advocacy programming for marginalized voices.

GUILD SPOTLIGHT: 30th Anniversary of Always Running with Luis Rodriguez

Friday, October 13th | 6pm @ the Chicago History Museum

In collaboration with the Chicago History Museum, The Guild Complex celebrates 30 years of Always
Running
—the debut novel by author, poet, and founder/publisher of Tia Chucha Press, Luis J Rodriguez.

There will be some special performances followed by a special reading with Luis Rodriguez along with an interview and discussion with Hector Chavez, PhD, Loyola University Chicago (Director, Latin American and Latino/a Studies Program) and Lit & Luz Festival Board member.

10th Anniversary Celebration

Chicago | October 13-21, 2023

This October, join us for more than a dozen bilingual programs throughout Chicago. This year’s festival kicks off on October 13th with an exhibition of work from Lit & Luz Collaboration Cohort artists from the past decade at Chicago Art Department and closes on October 21st with the Live Magazine Show at Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.
